Welcome to Lands End (Landseinde)

Idyllic and charming

Lands End (Landseinde), or end of the country. Our name has not been chosen by chance. Literally we are located in a sort of forgotten piece of No Man’s land. Just between Belgium and The Netherlands. In the middle of the largely unspoiled creek area known as Meetjesland
Look at a detailed map of the area and discover that Lands End (Landseinde) is a unique spot. Where the Flemish part of Belgium pierces as a kind of finger into the Netherlands. The boundary between the two countries which surrounds us is largely marked by tall poplars, which stand as big feathers at the horizon.

We are also located in a by European legislation protected  bird watching area. Very silent and with a rich flora and fauna. At the North Dutch side we are adjacent to another nature reserve that is part of the beautiful Dutch province of Zeeland

Paeceful and quiet

At Lands End (Landseinde) you can still experience the sound of silence. But it is not only a very quiet spot. At night it is probably one of the darkest places of this side of Europe. Our nearest neighbors live about one kilometer from us and on the country road before our door we have a traffic density of about 3 cars per hour passing.

Nevertheless you drive from here in about 20 minutes to the medieval cities Bruges and Ghent. The North sea beaches and picturesque little towns like Aardenburg , Sluis, IJzendijke and the fishing port  Breskens are even more close by.

Bed & Breakfast

In an old barn of the former farmhouse, we have four spacious luxury B & B rooms en suite, consisting of a bedroom area, sitting area and spacious bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.
Each room has its own private terrace with southerly views over the endless Zealand and Flemish polders. With all modern comforts, central heating, TV and free wifi.
Are you looking for a pleasant stay, surrounded by a combination of Dutch and Flemish hospitality?
Do you enjoy cycling, walking and enjoying the tranquility of this unique rural setting? Then Lands End (Landseinde) is for you definitely 'the place to be!

Visitors garden

Lands End (Landseinde) is located on a piece of land of 1 hectare (about 2 acres). A large part of the garden is designed as a hiking country garden (perennials borders, rose garden and cottage plants and beech hedges) and is accessible to guests and visitors.

We try to garden as ecologically as possible by creating and using our own gardening compost, planting bird bushes, shrubs and hedges, which offer shelter and food for animals who like to live at Lands End (Landseinde).
There is a meadow with tall trees, with old fruit varieties, two ecological pools and of course the goat Meggy, a couple of geese, numerous chickens and the two Shetland ponies Frits and Frans.
